Scott has joined the firm in its Miami office as a partner in its growing  Corporate Practice Group. Scott further strengthens Duane Morris’ corporate and international capabilities. Scott joins Duane Morris from K&L Gates LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Miami, Frankfurt and Berlin offices.
Scott focuses his practice on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate finance and real estate investments. Fluent in German, he represents German and other European companies entering the U.S. market, as well as U.S. and international companies in general cross-border work in the United States and in Europe. Scott’s clients include middle-market and startup companies in industries that include life sciences, telecommunications, real estate and healthcare.
Scott is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich chapters and the International Bar Association. He is on the board of Dolphin Aid, active in both Germany and the United States. He is a frequent speaker on cross-border issues at conferences hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany and has published articles on domestic and foreign investments. In addition to Florida, Scott is also licensed to practice law in New York.
Scott earned his J.D. in 1995 from Boston University School of Law. He graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Pre-med/Biology and German Literature from Tufts University.
